There's one for everyone
A happy update on this one. I received a call from the Manager within minutes of this posting. He was not at the dealership today as he is feeling under the weather. He asked me to relay what happended and listened intently. He apologized, accepted, and acknowledged my complaint and said that is not how I should have been treated. He said he would write up Mr. Tie Chain when he returns to work and even offered to cover the cost of my cab. Above and beyond. Thanks Roy!----I went to drop my car off per the VW TDI buy-backs today. Process was very easy and quick. Patrick did a great job. Painless. Once completed, I did not have a way to get home and was hoping I could leverage their courtesy shuttle. I was told the shuttle was not operational today due to the weather. That's fine I can understand that but was expecting another viable solution to be offered. After all, VW put me in this position with their cheating scandal. At the very least perhaps an offer to call a cab (my expense not theirs)? Reasonable problem solving, right? A quick and easy, pleasing, solution. Instead I told, by 'the manager' I could "take my Jetta" (which again I just sold back to them due to the emission cheating and settled class action lawsuit), "buy another VW" not interested, or " buy a Hyundai," definitely not interested, or "take the Max." Nice customer service, right? Superior. Here I am selling back my fraudulent car to the dealer and they can't even offer to call me a cab to help me get home? Gees. I got upset and told the manager the service received was piss poor. I may have said 'shitty' to which he continued to press that he was not going to call me a cab but rather 'call the police' because I was upset and cursing. Honestly? Clever guy. Cort (?) and Maggie, both very accommodating and professional, then proceeded to call me a cab, which arrived in less than 10 minutes, while 'the manager' stomped off towards the back offices. I didn't get the manager's name, nice cheesy tie chain dude, and Maggie was unable to provide his name, said she didn't know, when I called after I got home. She may be protecting him, which I can understand, she just manages the front desk, but that is curious too isn't it? VW was dead to me but now so is Dick Hannah. Nice going boss man! Way to seal the deal on the worst experience I have ever had with an automaker. I will make sure to tell all my friends. To Cort, Maggie, Patrick, and the used car guy, thank you for being professional and courteous.
